Traditional Burial. Our staff works with all cemeteries in the area to facilitate burial services. While you are at our funeral home, we can assist you in the selection of a casket and burial vault. Our selection room has a wide variety of price and style options from which to choose.

Alternative Services.  In our efforts to create personal ceremonies, we have found that many people prefer visitations without the deceased or casket present. These memorial visitations are a large part of the services provided. Other alternative services we offer include:

Community Outreach/Aftercare. Our doors are open to all of Elmhurst. Our funeral home has tours of the facilities, seminars on many aspects of funeral service, and a grief library to ensure that the members of our community have access to any information they may need. We also have a monthly newsletter complete with information on grief issues and support groups.

Grief Support Groups. Ahlgrim Funeral Home sponsors an ongoing grief support group facilitated by Wendy Neal, LCSW of the Neal Center for Griefwork & Healing. This group is open to anyone who has suffered a loss and meets every Monday night from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 314 W. Vallette, Elmhurst.
