About Mount Calvary Cemetery
Mt. Calvary Cemetery is located in the South Hills of Eugene. It affords a quiet forested setting with large fir and cedar trees, a variety of wildlife and beautiful views of the Coburg Hills to the North, and Spencer Butte to the South. Mt. Calvary is owned by the Archdiocese or Portland, Oregon and is managed by Musgrove Cemetery Management, a caring, family run business which exists with the sole intent of serving Mt. Calvary's families.
Services offered by Mount Calvary Cemetery
With over 10 acres of manicured grounds and a natural habitat set among view of the Coburg Hills and Spencer Butte, this quiet setting is an ideal resting place. A newly developed urn garden has walking paths wind through cremation memorials. A Garden of St. Francis with statuary and companion lawn crypts is another feature. The grounds also have an intimate chapel for Rosaries or indoor services.
In 1980 the Musgrove family purchased Riverside Chapel in Florence and Murphy Funeral Home in Junction City. The Florence funeral home was sold in 1990. In 2001 the Musgroves entered into an agreement with the Archdiocese of Oregon to manage Mt. Calvary Cemetery in south Eugene. In 2005 the Musgroves purchased several funeral homes and cemeteries in the area from a large multi-national corporation headquartered in Texas, bringing them back into local ownership. Musgrove Family Mortuaries and Cemeteries currently operate from seven locations offering the greatest choice of options to the residents of Lane County.
This location has proudly served the area with exceptional care for years and can help guide your household through burial etiquette, personalize your memorial, funeral costs, directions to cemeteries, guestbook, online obituary creation, and telling your life story.
