About Wright's Funeral Parlor
Wright's Funeral Parlor was established on July 2000 by Cynthia D. Wright and Bobby J. Wright. The business was purchased from Charles Sizemore of Sizemore Funeral Home. Cynthia was interested in the funeral business since the 1990's due to the death of her grandmother. After serving in the US Navy, Cynthia was given the chance to attend a college of her choice. She attended Schreiner University in Kerrville for business after a few years decided to explore the mortuary science field. Cynthia was accepted into the mortuary science department of San Antonio College and graduated in 1997. After graduating, she took an internship with Sizemore Funeral Home, Kerrville. Charles made Cynthia an offer to purchase the funeral home, she accepted. The funeral home became family owned and operated by Cynthia and her father Bobby Wright. Then in 2001 Cynthia's daughter Melissa decided to join her at the funeral home as a Funeral Director. Cynthia and Melissa work together as a team helping families with their loved ones. Bobby & Carolyn Wright have retired as of 2014 but still live in the Hill Country.
The funeral home is honored to serve the Hill Country for over a decade. We are proud to be truly family owned and operated; Bobby & Carolyn Wright, Cynthia Wright, Melissa & Victor Hernandez, Robert Puckett and Nicholas Wright. Our family takes proud in putting families first and making the services we offer affordable and personal to fit everyone need.
Services offered by Wright's Funeral Parlor
Funeral Services: Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to share memories, express emotions, and find comforting support. Whether you choose burial or cremation; whether you select a formal funeral or a more relaxed memorial service, the need for acknowledgment of the loss with family and friends is ever present. We can help you create a unique meaningful ceremony to express the genuine individuality of your loved one. We offer families a beautiful setting in which to come together to honor your loved one. But, you may certainly choose to celebrate their life in a more unique setting. No matter where you decide to gather together, such a service will make a difference in the lives of all who attend.
Burial Services: If burial has been selected, usually any ceremonies we design revolve around the casket being present. You can choose to follow tradition, with a viewing, and then a funeral service in a church or memorial chapel. Or you could decide to have a more relaxed service, even in your family home. Let’s just say this: there is no ‘hard and fast’ formula for honoring your loved one when burial has been selected. We’re here to listen to your concerns, share our experience, and help you to arrive at the perfect way to gather together before your loved one's interment in the cemetery of your choice.
Cremation Services: Cremation only refers to the manner in which you or your loved one has chosen to deal with the physical remains. We want you to know that this decision doesn’t limit the ways you can honor your loved one's life. We heartily suggest that you have a funeral or memorial service, because your need for such a healing experience is not lessened by the decision to be cremated. Again, the options are limited only by your imagination. We hope that you will contact us to discuss the wide variety of celebratory options open to you.
If you are interested in preplanning your funeral, you can be sure your legacy will be preserved and that you can have peace of mind. This location has proudly served the area with exceptional care for years and will help guide your family through funeral service etiquette, individualize your tribute, funeral costs, directions to cemeteries, guestbook, online obituary creation, and telling your life story.
