About Dahl Funeral Home
Spooner, Wisconsin, was originally established in 1882 as a settlement called Chandler. Chandler was moved approximately 2 1/2 miles south of its original site, and in 1883 it was settled as Spooner, located along the Minneapolis and Omaha Railroad. It was named after a railroad attorney, John Coit Spooner, who later went on to become a state senator and presidential advisor. The city of Spooner was established in 1910 and recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.
