History
In the 60's, 70's, 80's (years need verified) by McDaniel Grain Company who also ran the County Line Cafe which is still in operation today. As time went on into the 1900's Geuda Springs slowly dwindled in population, however, many generations of families stayed within this small town. McDaniel Grain was eventually sold in the 90's to CO-OP which presently runs the elevator today. About 1890 a dam with a flume outlet was built across the salt marsh just north of the springs, which was the means of covering the whole marsh with water and affording excellent boating. Much of the water has been bottled and shipped to points in Kansas and adjoining states.
