Kostanski Funeral Home of Greenfield and Turners Falls is a third generation family business. In 1952 founders Henry A. and Irene R. Kostanski opened the Kostanski Funeral Home at 220 Federal Street, Greenfield (its current location). In 1953, together with Henry’s brother Walter T. Kostanski, they established the funeral home at 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls (its present location). Henry, Irene and Walter are retired. The business is now owned by Henry and Irene’s children, Mike Kostanski, Bill Kostanski and Karen Larabee. Their granddaughter, Britney Kostanski Gioules joined the firm as a licensed funeral director in 2013.
