Our history dates back to the early 1900's when Bert Beers opened the Bert L. Beers Funeral Home on N. Main Street in Palmer, MA. He operated it as such until Herbert Story was hired shortly after returning from World War II.

The North Hatfield Historic District encompasses a small rural village in Hatfield, Massachusetts. It consists of a small cluster of buildings along West Street and Depot Road in the vicinity of a former railroad station. It includes a few buildings associated with the railroad, including a depot and freight buildings, as well as commercial and residential structures, most of which postdate the 1848 arrival of the railroad. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

History
But on October 16, 1675 a substantial part of the town was destroyed in King Philip's War, and surviving settlers sought refuge at Springfield. As a center for agriculture the region produced cattle, sheep, corn, and tobacco. The population was 3,249 at the 2000 census. During the American Revolution, Hatfield was an important source of supplies and men for the rebels. In 1786 the town was used as an assembly area for the discontented who became involved in Shays' Rebellion.
