It is located about ten miles southeast of Perryville, Missouri and about 35 miles north of Cape Girardeau. The community is named for the nearby Brazeau Creek, which in turn was named for Joseph Brazeau (also spelled Obrazo) a merchant from St. Although it is small, it does have a United States Post Office with a zip code of 63737. Brazeau is an unincorporated community in southeastern Perry County, Missouri. Louis, Missouri in the years 1791-1799, or a member of his family.
