These trails were used by early settlers and freight companies, and helped to establish where the community of Twin Bridges would develop. It lies at the confluence of the Ruby River Beaverhead river and Big Hole River Hole Rivers which form the Jefferson River River. Twin Bridges is a town in Madison County, Montana County, Montana, United States. The population was 400 at the United States Census, 2000 census.
