History
Nottingham once included Deerfield, New Hampshire incorporated in 1766, and Northwood, New Hampshire in 1773. At one time, the town had 17 watermills in operation. . It is location to Pawtuckaway State Park.
Incorporated in 1722 by Lieutenant Governor John Wentworth (Lieutenant-Governor) Wentworth, Nottingham was named for Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham. The population was 3,701 at the 2000 census.
