Rockaway Beach is a city in Tillamook County, Oregon County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,267 at the 2000 census.

The community of "Rockaway" was established in 1911 and renamed "Rockaway Beach" in 1987. . The Pronto Pup, a brand of corn dog, was invented at Rockaway in the late 1930s. [http://ftp.wi.net/~census/lesson36.html] Rockaway Beach was connected by train to Portland in 1912.
