Pulaski is a city and county seat of Giles County, Tennessee. The population was 7,870 at the 2010 census. It was named to honor the Polish-born American Revolutionary War hero Kazimierz Pułaski. It is home of Martin Methodist College.

History

In 1865, Pulaski was the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan, commonly referred to as the KKK. Pulaski is a city in Giles County, Tennessee County, Tennessee, United States. Pulaski is most well known for being the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan, although the city has condemned the Klan. Pulaski is also home to the University of Tennessee Volunteers star forward, Tyler Smith. The building of the KKK is still standing and bears a plaque proclaiming the event.
