Orangeville is a city in northwestern Emery County, Utah County, Utah, United States, at the edge of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. They selected Orangeville, after Orange Seely, the first man called to settle Castle Valley, Utah Valley. The population was 1,398 at the United States Census, 2000 census.
Orangeville was founded in 1878 and was originally known as Castle Dale, Utah Dale until 1879 when a post office was established and since there was another Castle Dale in Utah, the community had to change its name. The city is at the junction of State Routes Utah State Route 29 and Utah State Route 57 straddling the banks of the San Rafael River (Utah) Rafael River. .
