Originally called Lake, Mesa was a stop on the Ainsworth (now Pasco, Washington to Spokane, Washington branch of the Northern Pacific Railroad. Mesa was officially incorporated on June 23, 1955. It was the stop between Eltopia, Washington and Palouse Junction (now Connell, Washington The station was established in 1883. Prior to this development, people relied on either private wells or the railroad well at Mesa. Mesa is a city in Franklin County, Washington County, Washington, United States.
